Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a casserole dish and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with onions and garlic until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add the tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Simmer for a few minutes to blend the flavors.
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the prepared casserole dish, layer cooked pasta, the beef mixture, and shredded cheese. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Notes
For extra richness, swirl in a spoonful of sour cream or ricotta between layers. You can also use lean ground turkey as a lighter alternative.
