Method
- Beat the buttercream frosting for 5 minutes until light and fluffy. If too thick, add a bit of heavy cream to adjust consistency.
- Place one layer of the cooled coffee-infused cake on a serving plate or cake stand. Spread an even layer of buttercream frosting on top.
- Repeat the process with the second layer, adding more frosting on top. Place the third cake layer on top and frost the entire cake — top and sides — with the remaining buttercream.
- Drizzle the cooled caramel sauce generously over the top of the frosted cake, letting it drip beautifully down the sides.
