Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound flatbread dough homemade or store-bought
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 slices mozzarella cheese cut into ghost shapes with a cookie cutter or freehand
  • 0.5 cup black olives whole and sliced
  • 1 cup cauliflower florets small bite-sized pieces
  • fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C) and lightly oil a large baking sheet.
  2. Roll out the flatbread dough into a rectangle to fit the baking sheet and brush the surface with olive oil.
  3. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving about a ½-inch border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce and arrange the cauliflower florets across the flatbread.
  5. Bake for 8 minutes, until the cheese begins to melt and the crust starts to crisp around the edges.
  6. Remove from the oven and place the mozzarella ghost cutouts on top of the melted cheese. Use sliced black olives to create eyes and mouths for the ghosts.
  7. Add whole or halved black olives around the pizza to resemble gravestones, then return to the oven and bake for 5–7 more minutes, until the ghosts are melted but still hold their shape and the crust is golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Sprinkle with fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish, slice into squares, and serve warm.

Notes

For extra Halloween flair, use a mix of white and orange cheeses to create contrast. You can also add bell pepper slices or mushrooms for more color and texture.
