Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon almond extract (optional)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tablespoons milk or heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • fresh berries (optional)
  • sliced almonds or pecans (optional)
  • sprinkles or shredded coconut (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. Unroll the first can of crescent dough and press seams together to form an even base layer in the pan.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, vanilla, and almond extract until smooth. Spread evenly over the crescent base.
  4. Unroll the second can of crescent dough and lay it over the filling, gently pressing seams together.
  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden brown and set. Let cool 10–15 minutes.
  6. Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth to make the glaze.
  7. Drizzle glaze over the warm casserole. Add berries, nuts, or coconut if desired. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For extra richness, brush the top crescent layer with melted butter and sprinkle lightly with cinnamon sugar before baking.
