Ingredients

  • 3 cups Cooked chicken shredded or cubed; rotisserie works great
  • 12 oz Pasta penne, rotini, or elbows
  • 6 slices Bacon cooked crispy and crumbled
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 packet (1 oz) Ranch seasoning mix
  • 4 oz Cream cheese softened
  • 1.5 cups Milk
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp Chopped fresh parsley optional, for garnish
  • 0.5 cup Sautéed onions optional, for added flavor

Method

  1. 1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. 2. Cook Pasta: Boil the pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. 3. Make Sauce: In a large bowl, whisk together softened cream cheese, ranch seasoning mix, and milk until smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. 4. Combine: Stir in the cooked chicken, crumbled bacon (reserving some for topping), 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese, and optional sautéed onions. Add the cooked pasta and toss until evenly coated.
  5. 5. Assemble: Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top with remaining cheese and bacon.
  6. 6. Bake: Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. 7. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm for the ultimate creamy, cheesy comfort meal.

Notes

For a little kick, add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes or a drizzle of buffalo sauce before baking. You can also use mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese for a melty twist.
