  • 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.75 cup half and half or whole milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped for garnish

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Cook the Beef
    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat if needed.
  2. Step 2: Add Aromatics
    Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the beef. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the onion is soft and the garlic is fragrant.
  3. Step 3: Season the Mixture
    Stir in Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika. Cook for another minute to enhance the flavor.
  4. Step 4: Add Butter and Broth
    Add butter to the skillet and let it melt. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 3–4 minutes to reduce slightly.
  5. Step 5: Cook the Pasta
    In a separate pot, cook the bowtie pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  6. Step 6: Make the Creamy Sauce
    Stir in the half and half (or milk) and Parmesan cheese into the skillet. Mix until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes creamy.
  7. Step 7: Season the Sauce
    Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to thicken and blend the flavors.
