- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Season with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- In a bowl, mix together the cooked beef, cooked rice, condensed French onion soup, and sour cream until evenly combined.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread the beef and rice mixture into the baking dish. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving, if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, sauté sliced onions with the beef or top with crispy fried onions before baking.
