  • 2 tsp coconut oil for sauteing apples
  • cup oats
  • cup pecans
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil for crumble mixture
  • 2 tsp honey

  • food processor
  • Oven
  • small baking pan
  • parchment paper

Method

Instructions
  1. Chop apples and sauté them in a pan with cinnamon, salt, and 2 tsp coconut oil over medium-high heat, covering for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  3. Combine oats, pecans, 1 tbsp coconut oil, honey, and 1 tbsp water in a food processor; blend until a crumbly, cohesive mixture forms.
  4. Prepare a small baking pan by oiling or lining with parchment paper, then spread the sautéed apples evenly. Distribute the crumble mixture over the apples, forming larger pieces as desired.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crumble topping turns golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving, optionally with milk or yogurt for breakfast, or ice cream for dessert.

Notes

This crumble is delicious warm and can be customized with other fruits like berries or pears. For extra crunch, toast the pecans lightly before adding them to the crumble mixture. It pairs wonderfully with a dollop of Greek yogurt or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
