Ingredients
  

For the sandwich
  • 2 pieces Italian hoagie rolls
  • 1 cup Lettuce, shredded
  • 1 medium Tomatoes, sliced
  • ¼ medium Red onion, sliced
  • ¼ cup Pepperoncini, sliced
  • 4 oz Salami, sliced
  • 4 oz Ham, sliced
  • 4 oz Provolone cheese, sliced
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Italian herbs
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the Italian hoagie rolls in half.
  2. Layer the lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, pepperoncini, salami, ham, and provolone cheese on the bottom half of each roll.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil and red wine vinegar.
  4. Season with Italian herbs, salt, and pepper to taste.
  5. Close the sandwich with the top half of the roll.
  6. Serve immediately or wrap for a tasty lunch on the go.

Notes

Use fresh vegetables and thinly sliced meats for good bite and balance. Toast the roll slightly if you like a firmer base. For a full meal, serve with a creamy side like cheddar macaroni salad. Pack ingredients separately if making sandwiches to go, then assemble before eating.
