Ingredients

Base and Topping
  • 14 oz Oreos, crushed
Cream Layer
  • 4 tbsp Butter, softened
  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Confectioners sugar (powdered sugar)
Pudding Layer
  • 3.5 cups Milk
  • 2 boxes Instant vanilla pudding mix (10.2 ounces total)
  • 12 oz Cool Whip (1 1/2 small containers)

Method

  1. Use a food processor to crush the Oreos. Sprinkle half of the crushed Oreos into the bottom of an ungreased 9x13-inch pan. Set the remaining Oreos aside for topping.
  2. In a mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. In a separate large bowl, whisk together pudding mix and milk until thickened and smooth.
  4. Fold in Cool Whip until well combined.
  5. Add spoonfuls of the creamed mixture into the pudding mixture and stir gently until fully incorporated.
  6. Pour the pudding mixture evenly over the crushed Oreos in the pan, spreading it smooth with a spatula.
  7. Top with the remaining crushed Oreos to create the 'dirt' layer. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving for best texture.

Notes

For a fun presentation, serve this dessert in individual cups topped with gummy worms or mint sprigs. You can also use chocolate pudding for a deeper flavor. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
