Ingredients
  

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk 15 oz
  • ½ cup brown sugar packed
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 box yellow cake mix about 15.25 oz
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted 2 sticks

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Stir in the pecan halves, then pour the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top. Do not stir.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix, covering as much of the surface as possible.
  6. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden and the filling is bubbly.
  7. Allow the dump cake to cool for 15–20 minutes before serving.

Notes

This dessert is best served warm and pairs perfectly with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Leftovers can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
