Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 8 Pillsbury crescent rolls 1 can
  • 2 ounce cheddar cheese shredded
  • 8 turkey breakfast sausages fully cooked
  • 1 egg beaten for egg wash
  • ¼ teaspoon salt or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper or to taste

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper or Silpat
  • Bowl
  • Nonstick skillet
  • Spatula
  • Rolling pin

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 375℉ and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silpat.
  2. Beat 5 eggs, then heat butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Pour in beaten eggs and gently scramble until thickened with no visible liquid. Remove from heat.
  3. Sprinkle flour on your work surface, unroll the crescent dough, and roll it out if needed. Cut the dough into 8 rectangles, pinching seams if necessary.
  4. Top each rectangle with scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, and a sausage link. Roll up the rectangle and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat for all rolls.
  5. Brush each roll with the beaten egg wash, then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown.

Notes

Ensure eggs are not overcooked before rolling to keep them moist. Pinch the crescent roll seams thoroughly to prevent separation during baking. For a richer flavor, use regular pork breakfast sausage instead of turkey.
