Ingredients
  

Bark
  • 4 cups pretzel sticks Use stick pretzels for best results
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
  • sea salt For sprinkling on top

Method
 

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar and granulated sugar. Stir until boiling, then let boil for 3 minutes without stirring.
  3. Remove from heat and carefully stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Place pretzel sticks in a large bowl and pour caramel mixture over top. Stir gently to coat.
  5. Spread caramel-coated pretzels evenly onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Melt chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  7. Drizzle melted chocolate over the pretzels.
  8. Sprinkle sea salt over the chocolate before it sets.
  9. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until firm.
  10. Break into pieces and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding chopped nuts, toffee bits, or a swirl of white chocolate on top.
